How to Make Cheater Chopsticks
If you're afraid of dropping your food while eating at an Asian restaurant, arm yourself with a pair of cheater chopsticks. In a matter of minutes, you'll be able to put down the fork and use a pair of chopsticks with ease. If you've got plans to eat at a sushi restaurant, practice using the cheater chopsticks at home before going out to dinner. Making cheater chopsticks is also a handy way of teaching children how to use them.

1
Unwrap the chopsticks from their paper sleeve if you're using disposable sticks.
-
2
Wrap the top of the chopsticks tightly with a rubber band to secure them together.
-
-
3
Fold the chopsticks' paper sleeve down into a tight square. Use a piece of notebook or construction paper if your chopsticks don't have a sleeve.
-
4
Place the folded piece of paper in between the chopsticks, directly under the rubber band; the paper will keep the chopsticks slightly apart for ease of use.
