How to Make a Rasta Friendship Bracelet With 3 Colors
You give friendship bracelets to close friends to show how much the friendship means to you. One design for a friendship bracelet is using the Rastafarian colors of red, yellow and green. Rastafarian culture has its roots in Ethiopia and Jamaica and has been made famous by figures such as Bob Marley. You can make your Rasta friendship bracelet by weaving and knotting embroidery cord in a certain way.

1
Cut six strands of embroidery thread, each about 3 feet long. Two should be red, two should be yellow and two should be green.
-
2
Arrange all of the strands grouped together. Form a loop in the group toward one of the ends. Feed the loose long end into the loop and pull the knot tight. The strands are now secured together. Attach a safety pin to the knot and attach the knot to your pants, for use as an anchor when making the bracelet.

Separate and arrange the cords from left to right in the order of red, yellow and green.

4
Pass the red cord on the left over and under the red cord next to it. Feed the loose end back through the created loop so it finishes in front of the red left strand. Pull the knot tight. Repeat this with the red cords on the two yellow cords and two green cords farther down the row, so the red cord ends up on the right of the cord arrangement. Repeat the process with the next cord down the line from the left and so on. A striped design in the Rasta colors will be created. Continue to make the bracelet until it is as long as you want.

Remove the safety pin from your pants and the knot. Group the loose cords together at the end of the bracelet and form a loop in them. Pass the loose end of the cords through the loop and pull the knot tight.
