How to Delete Dictionary Words From Android

Android phones predict words based on the built-in user dictionary.

Android phones have a predictive text feature that aims to make typing quicker and more efficient. It can be as much a nuisance as a help, especially if your smartphone has stored unwanted words. You can remove misspelled or unwanted words from your dictionary settings.

Instructions

1. Click "Settings" or "User Settings" in the main menu on your Android phone.

2. Select "Language & Keyboard."

3. Click "User Dictionary."

4. Scroll down and click "X" or "Delete" next to a word that you want to remove from the dictionary.
