How to Make Your Own Lacrosse Headband
Whether you are a die-hard fan of Major League Lacrosse or you play lacrosse for your school team, a homemade lacrosse headband is a surefire way to show your team spirit. But even if you can't find the pocket on a lacrosse stick, a lacrosse headband is a stylish way to keep your hair out of your face. If you know how to use a sewing machine, you can make your own lacrosse headband.
Things You'll Need
- 1-inch-wide ribbon with lacrosse design
- 1-inch-wide black ribbon
- 1 box straight pins
- Black elastic band
- Sewing machine
Instructions

1
Cut both pieces of ribbon to a length of 16 inches. To make the headband fit medium to large hat sizes, cut the elastic band to a length of 4 inches. For larger heads, cut the elastic band to a bigger length.
-
2
Place the lacrosse ribbon onto the black ribbon so that it covers it completely. Pin both ribbons together with straight pins. Sew them together around the edges on the sewing machine with a straight stitch.

-
3
Set your sewing machine to zigzag stitching. Place the elastic band 1/2 inch onto one of the black ribbon's ends. When you have centered it, sew it in place.
-
4
Pin the elastic band's other end, centered and 1/2 inch deep, to the black ribbon's other end. Sew it in place with a zigzag stitch.
