Decorating Banquet Tables for a Cheerleading Banquet
Organize a banquet to say thanks and to cheer on your school's cheerleading team. The members of a cheerleading squad work hard at creating routines and rhymes to pep up a crowd and promote school spirit. A banquet is an ideal way to commend your school's cheerleaders. When decorating for the event, dress up the tables to give them a festive and eye-catching appeal, paying homage to cheerleading and cheerleaders. Does this Spark an idea?

- Megaphone
- Pom-poms
- Pictures
- Picture frames
- Tea lights
- Card stock
- Marker
- Laminating Machine
- Plates
- Cups
- Napkins

Cover the tables with linens that match your school's colors. For example, if your school's colors are blue and green, place a green tablecloth on the table and top it with a blue overlay or run a blue runner down the center of the table.

Stand a large megaphone in the center of the table. Insert pom-poms into the opening of the megaphone.

Frame pictures of the squad performing during practices, games and competitions. Arrange the pictures around the base of the megaphone.

Place tea light candles in colors that match your school's colors in between the pictures around the base of the megaphone.

Cut pieces of card stock into the shape of megaphones. Print the names of cheerleader's on the shapes. Laminate the megaphones with a laminating machine and set them out as placemats.

Create place settings with paper and plastic materials to match your school colors. Top placemats with paper or plastic plates. Place plastic cups next to the upper left side of each plate. Fold paper napkins in half, or in triangular formations and place them on the right side of the plates. Top the napkins with plastic utensils.
