How to Clone a Mac With NETGEAR

Some Internet Service Providers require a specific Media Access Control address presented to the modem to access the Internet. A MAC address is a 48-bit hexadecimal code attached to every Ethernet network card, whether it is wired or wireless, and is a globally unique value. Netgear routers include the ability to clone a MAC address and present it to the modem, instead of using the Netgear device’s own MAC address. You can change this setting in the Web-based administrative interface.
