How to Make Historical Facebook Profiles

Creating a historical Facebook profile can be an amusing diversion or an effective way for students to learn about famous people in history. Create the profile in a Facebook-like profile template and learn some history while having fun. The profile cannot be posted on Facebook, as the site allows only real people to sign up.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to Google Docs public template section and download the Facebook template for historical figures.

    • 2

Search online for a photograph or drawing of your character from history. Download the image and paste it into Box 1 of the template.

    • 3

Fill out Boxes 2 through 6 with biographical information such as your character's full name, date of birth and hometown.

    • 4

Fill in the map by making marks on significant places the figure visited during his life.

    • 5

Fill in Box 8 with the names of four people who would have been friends or associates with your historical figure during his lifetime. Use professional colleagues, contemporary artists, workers in the same profession or known associates.

    • 6

Create two imaginary Facebook groups the historical figure might have joined and add them to Box 9.

    • 7

Complete Box 10 by adding one school the person attended and one place of employment.

    • 8

Complete the template by making up two wall posts your historical figure might have made. Study quotes and statements by this figure and write the posts in the same style.
