How to Remove on Behalf of PHP
XAMPP makes it easy to install and un-install Apache distribution including MySQL, PHP and Perl. It works on Linux, Windows and MacOSX platforms. This package helps web developers install the Apache/PHP web development environment in an efficient manner. You can install XAMPP using installer or Zip files. If you installed your XAMPP using Installer, you need to uninstall it by using Uninstaller. On the other hand; Zip version installation can be easily removed by deleting the XMAPP folder in your computer.

Download "Uninstaller" from its website. Double-click the executable file to install the software. Double-click the icon on your desktop to launch the software.

Click the XMAPP from the list of the installed software on the "Uninstall" window. Click "Uninstall the selected application" icon to uninstall it. The uninstaller uninstalls the XMAPP entries from your registry and all related services.

Locate your Apache folder on your computer. Find "httpd.conf" file and open it using Notepad. Press "Ctrl" and "F" simultaneously to bring up the search dialog. Enter "DirectoryIndex" in the search box and click "Find next" to find the DirectoryIndex section. Remove all references to PHP files from the DirectoryIndex file list.
