Ladies and gents, this is officially the easiest eHow on the planet. And it makes some pretty good eatin' too. Serves six as a zesty side dish.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3/4 c. brown rice
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 1/2 c. cold water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 minced green pepper
  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 tbsp. salsa
  • 2 peeled and quartered tomatoes
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • Groceries
  • Crock-Pots
  1. Step 1

Add all ingredients (onion, green pepper, tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, rice and salsa) to Crock-Pot.

  2. Step 2

    Stir.

  3. Step 3

Cover and cook on low 7 to 10 hours.

Tips & Warnings
  • To peel tomatoes, cut an "X" in the bottom of the tomatoes with a sharp knife (not too deep a cut) and submerge in boiling water for one minute. When cool enough to handle, peel skin off tomatoes with the help of the sharp knife.

on 7/17/2009 Nice instructions, but there is a lot of difference between 7 and 10 hrs. A more specific timeframe would be helpful.
