Change Hair Color: Brunette to Blonde Photoshop CS3 Tutorial
Modern technology allows you to see what you would look like with a new hair color before ever entering a salon. With Adobe Photoshop you can upload a photo of yourself, select your hair with a lasso tool and change the color from brunette to blonde, red, black, even blue. The possibilities are endless. Open Photoshop and start experimenting with different hair colors.

Launch Adobe Photoshop. It does not have to be CS3, as this will work on any version.

Click "File" then "Open" and browse for the photo you want to use. Select the photo and click "OK."

Click "View" on the top toolbar and click "Zoom In" to make your picture larger. You need to be able to see the hair well, so zoom in as much as you need to.

Click on the "Lasso" tool on the left toolbar. It is the third tool from the top.

Carefully outline all your hair in the picture. Once you return to your starting point you will see the selected outline.

Click "Layer" and select "New Fill Layer" then click "Solid Color."

Change the mode to "Soft Light" and click "OK."

Use the color selector to experiment with different shades of blonde. Simply click on the yellow section of the color bar on the right and select a shade of yellow.

Click "OK" and save your changes.

Tips & Warnings
Use the magnetic Lass" tool for quicker, easier selection. This selection outline will not turn out as perfectly as if you use the regular Lasso tool and carefully , manually select the hair, but it will work for a basic idea.
