How to Make a Wedding Storyboard

With a storyboard, a couple can display their favorite memories from their wedding day.

A wedding is one of the most important days of a couple's lives. Rather than hiding wedding photographs in a dusty picture album, many couples choose to create a decorative storyboard. Here, photographs, invitations and other mementos from a couple's special day are compiled and displayed in an artistic way, similar to a scrapbook. Often storyboards help capture the essence of a couple's wedding, by showing key pieces and moments from their wedding day.

Instructions

    • 1

Spread out your wedding photographs on a table or other surface. This lets you look at all of them and see which ones to select for your storyboard. Make sure to keep an original copy that you won't be cutting up.

    • 2

Select must-have pictures of you and your love from your wedding day. Highlights from the wedding, such as your first kiss, your first dance, cake cutting or other moments provide strong photographs. Lay them out on the table, but separate them from the other photos.

    • 3

Pick out other photographs that capture the essence of your special day. For instance, if you had a vintage wedding, include pictures like a vintage engagement ring or the lacy detail on the bride's veil. Set these pictures with the other pictures to use for the storyboard.

Use photos that show the color scheme as well: identify photos of bouquets, centerpieces and other colorful decor. Add these pictures to the storyboard photographs.

    • 5

Add other mementos from the wedding, such as invitations, wine labels or seating cards. These will also look great on the storyboard.

    • 6

Trim the photographs so they include the main focus of the picture. Trimming them down allows you to include more pictures on the storyboard.

    • 7

Lay the pictures you hope to use on the sheet of paper. Organize the pictures in a way that looks aesthetically pleasing. They can overlap.

    • 8

Adhere the pictures to the paper with double-stick tape. For overlapping pictures, use photo-safe glue that will not destroy the image.

    • 9

Add some finishing touches, such as rhinestones, sequins or dried flowers.
