    Things You'll Need

    • Ribbons Or Self-stick Bows
    • 12-inch Length Of Yarns
    • 20 Recycled Christmas Cards
    • Clear Tapes
    • Glue Sticks
    • Scissors
    • Pens
    • Rulers
      • 1

Select 20 leftover Christmas cards to use in your wreath. Look for those with contrasting colors, or choose to do a wreath in varying shades of one color (all red cards, for example).

      • 2

On the back section of one of the cards, use a ruler to trace a pattern of a 2-by-4-inch rectangle. Cut it out.

      • 3

Trace this shape onto the backs of the front sections of your 20 cards, and cut out the rectangle shapes.

      • 4

Arrange the shapes in a circle, overlapping the edges.

      • 5

Glue the cards into place at the overlapping points.

      • 6

Make a bow from red or green ribbon and glue it to the top middle area of the wreath, or use a stick-on bow.

      • 7

Tape a yarn loop on the back of the wreath to use as a hanger.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Write the child's name and the year on the back of the wreaths, and use them from year to year as holiday decorations.

    • Make more than one wreath and tape them to a closet door rather than hanging them.

    • Parents should cut out the shapes for very young children.
