How to Add Custom CSS to Tumblr
Tumblr is a blogging platform that emphasizes shorter posts. Tumblr users can follow other Tumblr users. You can also choose to keep your blog private. Tumblr supports the use of themes as a way to create a unique blog. These themes are designed by third parties and are available through the Theme Garden. If the theme author has set the correct permissions, you can make changes to the theme by uploading custom CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).

Log in to your Tumblr account at www.tumblr.com using any Web browser.

Click on the name of the blog that you want to add custom CSS to, at the top of the sceen.

Click on the "Customize appearance" button on the right side of the Tumblr dashboard.

Click on the "Advanced" link at the top of the page.

Insert the Custom CSS into the text area at the top of the drop-down menu.

Click on the "Save" or "Save + Close" button on the right side of the screen to save the changes.

Type the address of your Tumblr blog in the Web browser address bar to view the changes to the blog.

Not all themes allow you to add custom CSS.
