How to Customize Check Printing in QuickBooks
One of Quickbooks' features is the ability to print checks on your printer. With vendor or employee addresses right on the check, you can sign it and place it in a windowed envelope, cutting down on the time it takes to write the check and address the envelope. You have some options in Quickbooks that allow you to customize the types of checks you print. Intuit sells printable checks, but you also may be able to purchase them elsewhere.

Tips & Warnings
You can also print checks one-by-one, from the Banking menu. Click "Write Checks." Fill in the appropriate information for the Payee, amount, date and check number. Click the bank account you want to use from the drop-down list and press the "Save and print" button. This brings up the "Print Checks" window in Step 4.
Though you do not have to buy your printable checks from Intuit, always buy checks that are guaranteed to work with Quickbooks. Banks may charge additional fees for processing checks that do not conform to a certain standard. Buying checks guaranteed to work with Quickbooks helps you avoid that problem.
