How to Do Makeup Like a Werewolf
Create a howl at your next Halloween party with a werewolf costume. Dress up in furry arms and ragged clothes, and complete the costume with werewolf makeup. You'll need a few supplies from a costume shop for a do-it-yourself makeup job. The most important item is dark crepe hair, which is fake hair that comes in a braid. You will apply these strategically around the face so you look like a movie werewolf rather than a wolf.
Things You'll Need
- Grey cream makeup
- 2 sponge applicators
- Brown cream makeup
- Black pencil liner
- Matte natural loose powder
- Dark brown crepe hair
- Scissors
- Spirit gum
- Clean towel
- Fake blood

1
Dip a sponge applicator into grey cream makeup. Apply it around the eyes and under the cheekbones to create depth. Add grey to the temples of the face as well. Apply grey to the lips, the tip of the nose and the creases around the mouth.
-
2
Dip another sponge applicator into brown cream makeup. Apply the brown to the same places you applied the grey makeup. Blend in the two colors. Be sure to keep the areas around the eyes dark.

Draw lines around the eyes with a black eyeliner pencil, which you can find in a cosmetics store or drugstore. Thicken the eyebrows with the black eyeliner. Add dark circles under the eyes. Draw wrinkles in the forehead. Add black under the cheekbones. Darken the lips.

4
Darken the tip of the nose so it looks like an animal's nose. Draw crow's feet at the edges of the eyes and darken the creases around the mouth. Apply matte natural loose powder to set the makeup.

Cut 2 inches of dark brown crepe hair. Apply spirit gum and wait for it to become tacky. Press it under the chin. Cut another 2 inches of crepe hair and apply spirit gum. After it is tacky, press it onto either side of the neck. Apply more crepe hair to the chin and sides of the face to create the appearance of a traditional movie "wolf man."

6
Cut a 3-inch piece of crepe hair and apply spirit gum. Once the spirit gum is tacky, place the hair at the top of the hairline. Add crepe hair all around the hairline so it looks as if fur is growing down toward the face. Add crepe hair to the eyebrows.

Dry the front teeth with a clean towel. Apply fake blood to the teeth and let it dry without closing your mouth.

Tips & Warnings
Straighten crepe hair by placing it in a dry towel. Iron the towel without touching the hair.
Wear a long-sleeved shirt and add crepe hair to your hands instead of werewolf gloves. Paint your nails black.
Obtain plastic "fangs" from the costume shop, and wear these over your natural teeth -- after first decorating the fangs with fake blood, if you like.
