1
Interview laser hair removal doctors through scheduled consultations. Be comfortable with the doctor and make sure he is board-certified in dermatology or cosmetic surgery and has laser hair removal experience. Take the time to ask as many questions as needed to feel comfortable with both the doctor and the procedure. The consultation time will also be used to review your medical history, discuss the risks of the procedure, outline a treatment plan and take photos for before and after comparisons.

2
Keep your shirt on before the appointment. Your back cannot receive any sun before the procedure. Do not shave or wax your back.

3
Clear your calendar. Removing the back hair takes up to a few hours as each individual hair follicle needs to be damaged, so don't make plans to go to work or run errands after the procedure.
-
4
Prepare for the possibility of multiple sessions, depending on the amount of hair follicles on your back. Some laser hair removal cases have seen hair regrowth, so be prepared to repeat the procedure in a few years in case you are one of these infrequent cases.
