  • Antibacterial soap
  • Cotton swab
  • Clean towel

      Clean your hands with antibacterial soap before washing your face, if your piercing is new and still healing. Dirty hands can transfer bacteria to the piercing.

      Remove any crusty areas of fluid surrounding the piercing with a cotton swab. Wash your face with an antibacterial soap. Take special care while cleaning your eyebrow piercing with soap. Rinse the area thoroughly with water.

      Pat the face dry with a clean towel. Do not use bathroom towels, as they may not be sterile.

      Clean the piercing twice a day with antibacterial soap.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not wear makeup near the piercing.

  • Sleep face up to avoid getting bacteria from your pillow into the piercing.

  • Do not allow anyone to touch your piercing.

  • Bruising is normal around new piercings.

  • Do not apply anything containing hydrogen peroxide, betadine or alcohol near the piercing.

  • Avoid swimming until eyebrow and all other piercings heal completely.
