How to Deploy the Bipod on "World at War" for PlayStation 3

"Call of Duty: World at War" is a first person shooter game for the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360 and the PC. It is the final entry in the franchise that takes place during World War II. The competitive multiplayer mode offers a large selection of weapons for your use, including assault rifles and rocket launchers. You can increase your weapon accuracy by attaching a bipod in order to reduce weapon recoil during sustained fire.

Instructions

    • 1

Attach a bipod to your multiplayer Machine Gun by choosing it from the "Attachments List," which can be found in the "Create a Class" screen. The weapons that support the bipod are as follows: Type 99, BAR, DP-28, MG-42, FG-42, Browning M1919. The bipod reduces recoil on the weapon when deployed.

Enter a game after you attach the bipod by selecting the game mode that you wish to play. After the map has loaded, select your custom class that contains the machine gun with the bipod attached. By doing this, you will be allowed to use your bipod when you choose to do so.

    • 3

Choose the area where you wish to deploy your bipod. The best areas to deploy your bipod are those with a good vantage point from which you can see a good amount of the map. After choosing the point at which you wish to deploy, hold the "Circle" button to lie down in a prone position.

    • 4

Continue to hold the "Square" button after going into a prone position. This will cause you to deploy the bipod. Once the bipod is deployed, you can release the "Square" button and aim side-to-side over a 60-degree area. When the bipod is deployed, you may not crawl; you may only aim and shoot with the reduced recoil that use of the bipod gives.
