1
Plug the power cord into a grounded three-prong outlet if the washer does not turn on. LG recommends the use of a 120 VAC, 60 Hz power outlet for proper power supply. Replace or reset the fuse or circuit breaker if the washing machine is plugged into a live outlet but is still not working.
-
2
Disconnect the drain hose and clean it out if "OE" is displayed. Open the pump filter door on the lower left hand side of the washing machine. Pull out the drain hose and let it drain into a container. Turn the filter door counterclockwise, open it and clean out the pump filter.
-
-
3
Push the washer door shut if "dE" is displayed, and press the "Start/Pause" button firmly.
-
4
Distribute wash items evenly in the tub if the washer is thumping or vibrating, and adjust the washer feet so the machine is level.
-
5
Use low-sudsing HE detergent if there are excessive suds in the wash tub that require an extra drain cycle. Follow product instructions for the amount to be used.
-
6
Straighten out the water hoses if "IE" is displayed. Remove the hoses and lift out the inlet screens, which can be rinsed with water. Turn the water faucets open completely.
-
7
Allow the washing machine to finish the cycle if the door is locked. This is an automatic protective feature to keep the door shut while internal temperatures are high.
-
8
Empty items from the washing machine, and run the "Tub Clean" cycle if the washer smells musty or like mildew. Use a clean cloth to wipe down the door seal.
-
9
Look for reasons why the washer may have overheated if "LE" is displayed, such as objects blocking the sides or rear of the unit or an excessively large wash load. Let the washer sit for 30 minutes, and then restart it.
-
10
Redistribute pieces in the washer if "UE" is displayed, and put more items in the wash load if the load size is very small.
-
11
Make a new wash selection, and push "Start/Pause" if "PF" is displayed.
-
12
Turn off the water faucets, unplug the washing machine and contact LG for help at 800-243-0000 if "PE," "tE" or "FE" is displayed.
