How to Get Someone to Sell Your Product
Developing a great product is one step to leading a successful business. However, another major step is selling the product for a profit. Of course, you can sell your product on your website or in your stores, but to maximize the potential sales, it is beneficial to have other people sell your product, as well. These can be retailers, wholesalers, partners or regular customers, depending on the nature of your business.

1
Explain your product to a potential partner. Talk about how you developed it, what it does and who the target audience is. This helps both you and the potential partner gauge interest in each other and whether the partner can succeed in selling your product.
-
2
Explain the benefits of your product to the partner. The partner will use these benefits to help sell the product. Benefits can includes various features, functions, pricing, size, appearance or anything else the end user or buyer finds appealing. If possible, give a product demonstration so the potential partner can see and experience the product in person.

3
Build a revenue share model or incentive for the partner. If the partner does not see the potential to make money by selling your product, it is unlikely they will sell it for you. Offer a percentage of sales for each product they sell or some other financial incentive. Ensure that the model is profitable for your business; if you lose money on the sale, the partnership does not make sense.
-
4
Offer to sell the potential partner's product in exchange. As long as the partner does not offer a product that competes with yours, both companies can benefit. For example, if your product is sunglasses, and the potential partner sells sunglasses cases, the two of you can form a partnership to sell each other's products to help maximize sales and get both products in front of more people.

Use the Internet to find people or websites to sell your product. Affiliate marketing is when a third party markets and sells your product for you and receives a commission on the sale. Several affiliate marketing sites exists where you can list your products. If a consumer finds and buys your product from one of these sites, that site receives a commission of the sale. Bloggers are another potential partner for selling your product; you can pay a blogger to put an ad for your product on their site or even to write a blog about your product to help sell it to the blogger's reader base.
