How to Install Native Instruments From PKG Files

When you install software on your Apple Mac OS X computer, the installation will either include dragging and dropping the program to the Applications folder or will use a Mac OS X Installer Package. Applications that install files to multiple locations will use the Installer Package. Mac installers are distributed in the PKG file format. Native Instruments software, the plugins used in music creation, need to install files all across your hard drive and so will need to use them to install your software.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert your Native Instruments disc, or double-click the DMG file if you are running from a disk image.

    • 2

      Double-click the installer PKG file.

    • 3

Click "Continue" throughout the installer. There are few, if any, configurable options when installing Native Instruments software.

    • 4

Click "Finish" when you are done. Depending on which Native Instruments pack it is, you may have to restart the computer.
