How to Hook My Samsung TV to a Cable Outlet
Samsung televisions can be hooked up to many external devices, including cable outlets, DVD and Blu-ray players, cable and satellite boxes, computers, and surround sound audio. Samsung televisions come with a Plug and Play feature to guide you through the process of setting up your television. Once such process allows you to hook your Samsung television up directly to a cable outlet with no cable box, using only one 75 ohm round cable and a remote.

Screw one end of the cable cord (75 ohm round cable) into the back of the television using the plug that says "ANT IN." It looks like a screw with a hole in the middle. Tighten the nut to secure the cable to the television.

Screw the opposite end of the plug directly into the cable outlet on the wall. The outlet will have a plug that looks identical to the one on the back of the television.

Turn on your television to run the Plug and Play feature. Select your language and then "home use" on the ensuing screens.

Select cable on the next screen. Hit enter.

Select your analog and digital cable systems on the next screen. Most cable systems are standard (STD). Select "Start," then press "Enter" on the remote.

Allow the television to memorize all available channels. This step could take up to 45 minutes.

Choose the clock mode and select "Auto." Press the "Enter" button on the remote.

Select your daylight savings time setting. Press the "Enter" button on the remote.

Press the right arrow buttons on your remote to scroll through the best picture display and hit "Enter" on the remote. You can also skip this step by pressing the "Menu" button on the remote.

Press "Enter" on the remote when the "Enjoy your TV" screen appears.
