How to Resize Type in Thunderbird

If you find text difficult to see when reading messages in Thunderbird, you can override the type size settings for incoming messages to make letters larger. You can also use this feature to make text smaller if you have a low-resolution monitor and want to be able to display more text on the screen without scrolling. Change the font size in Thunderbird for reading or writing messages using the program's "Options" menu.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the "Tools" menu at the top of the Thunderbird window and select "Options."

Click the "Display" tab at the top of the window to change the default type size when reading messages.

Click the "Size" drop-down menu under the "Fonts" heading and select the desired default size for proportional, serif and sans serif fonts.

    • 4

Click the "Advanced" button. In the new window, the size displayed in the upper-right corner of the window should reflect what you selected in the previous step.
