How to Read Newsgroups in Chrome
Newsgroups -- online communities devoted to particular topics, where members post nested discussion threads -- have been a popular part of the Internet since its early days. While the Chrome browser does not include a tool for browsing newsgroups, Google, the maker of Chrome, provide access to the thousands of newsgroups online via Google Groups, which works perfectly with Chrome.

Navigate to groups.google.com. Check the top right corner of the screen -- if it contains your name, you're already signed into your Google Account. If it doesn't, click the "Sign In" button and enter your username and password, or click "Create an Account" to create a new Google account.

Enter a search string to search for a particular newsgroup, or click a category link to browse groups on a particular subject.

Click a group's name to bring up a page where you can view the group's latest posts, search for text, or make a post yourself. Click "Subscribe to this group" to add the group to the "My Groups" section on your main groups page.
