Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" began capturing hearts and minds in 1991 with its classic love story, memorable music and loveable characters. Although the story focuses on Belle, the Beast and a few other main characters, the castle the Beast lives in is full of living animated objects. The flatware, for example, helps entertain Belle and put her at ease her first night there by singing "Be Our Guest." If you want to create costume inspired by the flatware from "Beauty and the Beast," you need little more than some poster board and spray paint.

Step 1

Draw the shape of the top of the flatware on a 24-inch piece of poster board or a cardboard box. For example, draw the bowl of the spoon, the tines of the fork or the blade of the knife, depending on which piece of flatware you want to create. Cut out the shape using a pair of scissors. Repeat the process to create a second cutout in the exact same shape and size as the first.

Step 2

Lay a plastic headband on the bottom of the cutout with the bottom arms of the headband flush against the bottom edge of the cutout. Trace the shape of the headband on the cutout. Cut out the shape. Repeat the step with the second cutout.

Step 3

Place two paint stirring sticks or similar pieces of flat wood on one of the cutouts. Place each stick 3 inches in from the sides of the cutout, 4 inches up from the bottom. Apply hot glue to the back of the sticks and press them against the cutout. Apply hot glue to the other side of the sticks. Press the second cutout on top of the first. The paint sticks add extra support to the structure.

Step 4

Apply hot glue to the top and sides of the headband. Press the headband into the cut-out section from Step 2. Let the glue cool and harden for three to five minutes.

Step 5

Paint both sides of the flatware cutout using metallic silver spray paint. Let the paint dry for three to five hours.

Step 6

Paint a sweatshirt, sweatpants, socks, shoes and gloves using metallic silver spray paint. Let the paint dry for three to five hours.

Step 7

Spray your hair with silver Halloween hair spray. Paint your face with silver Halloween face paint. Most face paints shouldn't be applied to your lips. If the paint you choose indicates to avoid your lips, use a silver lipstick instead.

Step 8

Wear the silver clothing and place the flatware headband on your head to finish the look.

Tip

When choosing clothing to spray-paint, use white or grey for best results.
