How to Strikethrough Text on TweetDeck
Web services like Twitter use what's known as a Unicode font. The Unicode font library was designed so that all of the characters necessary for international communication would be available in the same font library. Because of this, you can't apply typical formatting to the text sent to Twitter through applications like TweetDeck. You can, however, use the Unicode font strikethrough text to create the same effect.

Tips & Warnings
The strikethrough character counts against your total character count in addition to the letters you type. For example the phrase: "???T???h???i???s??? a??? ???t???e???s???t???" with the strikethrough takes 44 characters in TweetDeck versus the 11 that it would take to type it without the strikethrough.
You can also copy the text between the quotation marks here to copy the Unicode strikethrough character: "???"
