How to Decorate and Hide Computer Cords
Computers are steadily transitioning from helpful and convenient devices to necessary devices. But as helpful as they are, they still have a few drawbacks; one being their mess of cords. The average desktop has several cords, mainly due to its hardware connections. All of these cords can make your computer area look unpleasant. Fortunately, there are several ways that you can keep your cords hidden from plain sight, either by organizing them, or decorating them.
Things You'll Need

1
Label each cord. You can use either computer cord cables, designed specifically for this purpose, or simple sticker labels. Trace each cord to find its source, and then slap a label on it.
-
2
Take all of your cords out and plug them back in, in an organized fashion. Because you have your labels on everything, you'll know where everything goes. This is also a good point to bundle cords together. Find cords that are close to one another, and bundle them with a plastic tie wrap.

3
Run your cables through a device known as a cable tunnel organizer. This is a simple device that mounts to a wall or desk area and allows you to thread your cords through it. It keeps your cables organized, and hides them from plain view.

4
Disguise your cords using a product called WireTracks. This is a device that looks similar to crown molding, but is actually hollow, allowing you to hide your wires beneath it. Run your cables along the corner of your floor and wall, and then place the WireTracks over them to hide them.

5
Place your organized cords behind your desk and cover the open area with a chipboard. Chipboard is a light material that comes in a wide variety of colors, so you'll be able to find one that matches your computer desk.

6
Decorate longer computer cords to look to look like vines or branches. Attach the cord to the wall and wrap leaf ties from Lufdesign around it. You can also accessorize it with decorations (like leaves or birds) from Pa-design. Bundling a few cords together with leaf ties also give the appearance of branches.
