How to Finish a Friendship Bracelet With a Loop

Markers of any length will work to make the bracelet loop.

Tying a friendship bracelet off with a loop is one way to make a type of clasp. The knot at the other end of the bracelet goes through the loop to hold the bracelet in place. Making a loop from the string often requires an item to keep the string's shape. A marker works well, but you can use a pencil, pen or other stick-like item you have around the house.

Tie a knot with the tail hanging from the loop.

    • 3

Slip the marker out of the loop.

    • 4

      Cut off any extra string.
