The only way to make brewing hot chocolate faster is by using a coffee maker. Empty a packet of instant hot chocolate into the decanter, add 3/4 cup of water to the reservoir and turn it on -- it doesn't get any simpler. You may have to make more than one cup of hot chocolate at a time to meet the minimum fill line of the water reservoir, but that just means more hot chocolate for you and your family or guests.

Mix together 2 parts powdered milk, 2 parts powdered sugar and 1 part cocoa in a mixing bowl. Add 1 /2 cup of the mixture to the coffee decanter and 1/2 cup of water to the water reservoir for each cup of hot chocolate you want to make. Stir in milk or cream before you serve, if desired.
