Fuel gauge problems have been reported in several Chevy SUV models.

Chevy SUVs are manufactured by Chevrolet, part of General Motors. The 4.6-liter, V6 engine Chevy Blazer had three recalls in 1990 for faulty fuel gauges. The gauges provided inaccurate readings, according to website OBD-Codes. Other Chevy models also had fuel-gauge problems.

    Fuel Pump Ground

    • According to OBD-Codes, a technical service bulletin, the fuel gauge fails to read a full tank in a 1999 Chevy S-10, 2007 Chevy Tahoe, 2007 Chevy Uplander and Chevy Venture. The instrument panel shows the tank as 7/8th full at full tank due to a faulty fuel pump ground corrected by installing a new grounding strap.
