How Can I Upgrade My Pansat 2700A?

The Pansat 2700A connects to a satellite dish to acquire FTA or free-to-air satellite programming. The receiver must be upgraded with the latest FTA files to keep it in contact with the necessary satellites.

  1. Significance

    • The FTA or BIN files and satellite keys provide the receiver with updated information for a satellite. The receiver must be upgraded from time to time to optimize it for the best performance.

    Function

    • A RS232 port located on the rear panel of the receiver enables users to upgrade the receiver. Owners must use a "GTloader" software application to properly send the files to the receiver's hard drive.

    Considerations

    • The necessary upgrade files are available for free from FTA Supreme (see Resources). Use a RS232 to USB adapter to make the connection between the computer and the receiver if the computer lacks a RS232 port.
