What Is Wireframe in Unigraphics?
Unigraphics is a CAD/CAM drawing program used by engineers, designers and drafters. Wireframe is a method for drawing an object in 3D and using it to form an assembly make the part.

CAD/CAM
-
CAD/CAM means computer aided design and computer aided machining. These graphic programs allow design and drawing mechanical, electrical and architectural projects.
Wireframe
-
Wireframe drawings use single lines to define the outline and features of an object. These lines can also be circles to indicate holes, or bosses. Unigraphics allows drawing curves or any feature necessary to make a part.
-
X, Y, Z Coordinates
-
Unigraphics wireframes use the X, Y, and Z coordinate system. The X is vertical, Y is right side horizontal and the Z is depth from the X and Y intersection.
The Drawing
-
The Unigraphics wireframe drawing normally originates from the X, Y point of the coordinates. This might not be the case if it is part of an assembly drawing.
