The rack-mountable Sonicwall Pro 1260 is a security and network switch designed for small businesses. It has a firewall, built-in VPN, anti-virus protection at the switch and a 24-port Ethernet switch. It is configured with a Web application.

Networking

The Sonicwall 1260 relays DHCP information from external sources and can act as a DHCP server; it also provides support for dynamic DNS providers. The unit has a 200-user database. It supports VOIP bandwidth management and call tracking, and will work with most VOIP gateways.

Security

The Sonicwall 1260's firewall provides protection from viruses, worms, Trojans and other forms of attack. The built-in Deep Inspection Security Services scan URLs, keywords and content running through the switch.

VPN

The built-in VPN has 30+ Mbps throughput and supports 25 simultaneous site-to-site VPN tunnels. It has five bundled VPN client licenses and an additional 45 can be added.

Hardware

The Sonicwall 1260 has 27 Ethernet ports, including 24 LAN ports, two WAN ports and a console port. It is powered by a Sonicwall Security Processor and has 64 MB of RAM and 8 MB of flash memory.

Dimensions and Weight

The unit is 17 inches wide, 10 inches deep and 1.75 inches high. It weighs 7.15 lbs.
