Information on Laser Resurfacing thumbnail
Laser resurfacing requires the usage of laser technology to heal the skin.

Laser resurfacing is a popular cosmetic treatment that helps people reduce wrinkles and other skin irregularities such as acne scars, blemishes and sun damaged skin. Concentrated laser beams are used by surgeons to treat skin irregularities. Laser resurfacing is also known as laser peel or laser vaporization. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. The Technique

    • Concentrated beams of light are targeted on the affected skin areas using a hand-held wand. The intense laser beams vaporize the skin cells, revealing fresh new skin underneath.

    Who Is It For?

    • If you want to get rid of fine lines around the eyes, wrinkles on the forehead or skin blemishes, laser resurfacing can be a good option for you. However, please note that laser resurfacing is not an alternative for a face lift surgery.

    Side Effects

    • Some people may report common side effects like swelling and redness of the treated area. Crusting of skin can be noticed as well, but all these side effects subside with proper postoperative care. Cosmetic surgeons may prescribe antibiotics to avoid the risk of bacterial infections before and after the procedure.
