Why Does the Sound Cut Out on the Sony Home Theater?

There are issues that can distort a home theater's performance.

Sony is a top consumer electronics brand that sells many different audio and video products. They offer several different home theater systems to complement any television. During use there may be issues with the Sony Home Theater system that will cause it to cut out.

Wiring Issue

The wires connected to the speakers may be frayed, which will cause the system to short out. Make sure there are no stray wires making contact with the receiver speaker connectors.

Speaker Compatibility

The speakers may be damaged or may not be the correct resistance for the receiver. Replace the speakers with others with different resistance ratings to match the receiver power output.

Power Supply

Replace any damaged video or audio cables that are connected to the home theater. Securely connect all cables including the power cable to properly supply the receiver and devices with the necessary power.
