When you first start Corel Photo-Paint, the welcome screen offers a link to CorelTUTOR. In CorelTUTOR you will find step-by-step instructions for common tasks such as adjusting and retouching images, creating masks and stitching images together to make a panorama.

Videos can be a good way to learn software if you need to to see each step of a procedure to master it. CorelDRAW Graphic Suite has a YouTube channel you can use to learn Corel Photo-Paint.

There are few books written exclusively on Corel Photo-Paint except for older versions. Photo-Paint is usually covered in CorelDRAW. "CorelDRAW: The Official Guide" by Gary David Bouton is one recommended by Corel. "CorelDRAW X5 Unleashed" by Foster D. Coburn III is an e-book/DVD combo also recommended by Corel. A third book recommended by Corel is "Color Management in CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5" by David Millsock.

Some companies offer three-day boot camps in CorelDraw including a single day focused on advanced topics in Photo-Paint. Other providers offer affordable online classes. Prolink Graphic Services is a Corel Learning Partner offering classes and workshops. Corel also offers short tutorials on its own website teaching Photo-Paint basics.
