Yamalube two-cycle oil is used in smaller engines like those in dirt bikes.

Yamalube is a line of regular and synthetic two-stroke engine oils manufactured by the Yamaha Motor Corp. It comes in a variety of types, each tailored for specific two-stroke engine applications.

  1. Types

    • As of late 2010, types of two-stroke Yamalube oils included 2R, 2W, 2S and 2M. The 2R oil was intended for motocross engines; 2W for WaveRunners and sport boats; 2S for snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATVs, scooters and golf carts; and 2M for two-stroke outboard boat motors.

    • Yamalube 2M is two-stroke semi-synthetic injector oil designed for use with outboard boat motors. The oil includes a special additive to reduce wear, help prevent against carbon buildup and prevent robbing ring stick. It is sold in 1-qt., 1-gallon, 2.5-gallon and 55-gallon containers.

    Specifications - 2W

    • Yamaha's Yamalube 2W oil is two-stroke oil designed for personal watercraft. It is a semi-synthetic oil that Yamaha claims was designed to prevent rust, corrosion, ring stick, piston burning and spark plug fouling. It is sold in 1-qt., 1-gallon, 2.5-gallon and 55-gallon containers.
