Use cardboard or sheets of Styrofoam to create gravestones and crosses. Paint them gray and use black paint to write clever epitaphs on the gravestones. Black construction paper can be used to create bats. Create ghosts by making heads with bundled-up newspaper and covering them with white sheets. Make a coffin out of plywood and customize it using paint. Create a witches' brew by placing dry ice in a cast-iron pot.
Considerations
-
Stand the gravestones and crosses on your lawn. Hang the bats and ghosts on trees using fishing line. Spray the fabric ghosts with fabric stiffener, which is available at most craft stores, to stand them up on your lawn. Display the coffin such that a limb is coming out of the coffin. Place the witches' brew on the lawn over some firewood and accent it with a broom stuck into the ground.
