Where Is the Fuse Box on My 2003 Saab 93 Linear?

Changing a fuse on a Saab 9-3 is simple once the fusebox is located.

The Saab 9-3 Linear relies heavily on its electrical control system. The 2003 electrical system was especially buggy. A small problem can have big consequences. Knowing how to replace a fuse in a 9-3 can solve an assortment of common problems.

Interior Fuse box

Open the passenger side door. The access panel to the fuse box is on the side of the dashboard and will be exposed when the door is opened. Locate the indent in the panel and use a flat head screwdriver or your finger to pry open the panel.

Engine Compartment Fuse Box

Open the hood. Locate the see through plastic rectangular box on the right-hand side labeled "Fuse Box". Unclip the tabs using either a small, flathead screwdriver or your finger on either side of the plastic casing and lift up the covering. The fuses are located under the plastic covering.

Replacing a Fuse

Disconnect the negative battery lead with an adjustable wrench before replacing a fuse. To remove an engine fuse, pull the fuse out using your fingers. Then slide the new fuse into place. Fuses in the interior fuse box can be removed using the fuse tweezers located in the fuse box. Replace the fuse by pushing a new fuse back into the slot. A fuse box diagram can be found in the owner's manual to assist in identifying the purpose of each fuse.
