They both offer vivid, standard, cinema, or custom picture modes for movie and television watching, as well as photo standard, vivid, original, or custom modes. The KDL52V5100 was a slightly larger piece of equipment, weighing 76.3 lbs (vs. 66.3 lbs) with the pedestal and 66.1lbs (vs. 57.5lbs) without it, though the screen sizes were the same. The KDL52V5100 is also 1 1/4 inches thicker.
