Brake clips are small retaining pins that serve an important role in the function of car brakes. They act as stoppers to keep brake shoes fastened to your vehicle.
What is a Brake Clip?
A brake clip is a small, spring-loaded clip that acts as a retainer for your brake shoes. Brake shoes slide onto small pins that extend from brake backing plates. These small pins act as a frame on which brake shoes are anchored. Along with brake clips are small retaining pins that keep the brake shoes locked in place.
What About Brake Pads?
Brake pads are also commonly kept in place by brake clips.
Clips typically keep things fastened together. Brake clips perform this task simply and effectively, keeping brake pads and brake shoes fastened to their respective parts on brake housings.
