Where Is the PCV on the 1998 Nissan Pathfinder?

The 1998 Nissan Pathfinder uses a PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve as part of its emission control system. The component requires periodic replacement, but you have to locate it first.

Access The Engine

Park the vehicle, shut off the engine, set the parking brake and open the hood.

Locate The Location

At the center of the engine, locate a black rubber hose entering the intake manifold.

Locate The PCV Valve

At the end of the hose where it enters the intake manifold is a part the hose connects to. This is the PCV valve.
