Information on a 2008 Mazda CX-9

The 2008 Mazda CX-9 is a seven-passenger crossover sport utility vehicle, first introduced in 2007. Featuring three rows of seats, the Mazda CX-9 offers ample storage room, decent performance and numerous safety features standard.

Performance

Powered by a 3.7-liter V6 paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, the 2008 Mazda CX-9 is available in front- or all-wheel drive. With optional towing package included, the CX-9 can tow up to 3,500 lbs.

Cabin

Offering seating for seven occupants, the 2008 Mazda CX-9 features tri-zone climate control, power windows and door locks, cloth upholstery, six-way driver's seat and 18-inch wheels standard. Optionally, leather seating surfaces, a DVD package, HID headlights, rear-view camera and 20-inch aluminum wheels are available.

Safety

Stability control with rollover sensor, anti-lock brakes, full-length, side-curtain air bags and front-seat side air bags are standard. A blind-spot warning system is available with the Grand Touring package. The Mazda CX-9 received top crash ratings from the federal government and a "good" rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

Fuel Economy

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the 2008 Mazda CX-9 gets 15 mpg city, 21 mpg when equipped with an automatic transmission. When paired with a manual transmission, gas mileage is 16 city, 22 highway.
