Software for Burning Karaoke Disks

It's easy to burn your own karaoke CDs.

If you'd like to burn your own karaoke CDs, you'll need to install a program that can burn CD+G discs. These discs contain not only the karaoke track, but also the song's lyrics, which can be displayed by a karaoke machine.

Power CD+G Burner

Power CD+G Burner is a program for Windows computers that can burn and rip CD+G discs. Just follow the program's on-screen instructions to create your own karaoke disc. The program works with most newer CD-burning drives; older drives may not be able to burn CD+G discs. Power CD+G Burner is available to download for $39 as of 2010.

Microstudio

Microstudio is another karaoke CD-creation program for Microsoft Windows. With a compatible CD burner, the program can burn backup copies of your CD+G discs, create custom CD+G compilation discs and save CD+G tracks to your computer. The program is available to download for $79.99 or as a CD-ROM for $89.99 as of 2010.

kJams

The kJams karaoke program is available for both Apple Mac and Microsoft Windows computers. The program can rip, mix and play karaoke CDs; CD+G burning is available with a special burning plug-in, which is sold separately. The base program can be downloaded for $40, and the burning plug-in costs an additional $40 as of 2010.
