    • The bigger the washer, the bigger the price tag, in many cases. A white, 4-cubic-foot Maytag model cost $470 in September 2010, while a white, 5-cubic-foot Maytag cost $765. Both were top-loading models. When comparing sizes, note the price differences among brands.
