Specifications for the Gateway Solo 2500 Laptop
No longer manufactured, the Gateway Solo 2500 was a laptop that featured an Intel processor, 2 to 8 hours of power and either a 12.1- or 13.3-inch screen. It weighed about 7 pounds.

The Gateway Solo 2500 came with either an Intel Celeron (333 MHz or 366 MHz) or Pentium II (333 MHz, 366 MHZ or 400 MHz) processor. It had two SO-DIMM sockets, which support up to 128 MB of RAM. Models with HPA LCD screens can be expanded to have 256 MB of SDRAM.
Graphics Capabilities and Storage Space

The integrated graphics on the Solo 2500 support display sizes up to 1024 x 768 pixels with 65,536 colors. Additionally, there's a composite video output port for hooking the laptop up to a television.
Solo 2500 models offered up to 6 GB of storage via a 2.5" removable hard drive.

This Gateway laptop had a CD-ROM (8x-24x) as a standard option, but an upgrade to a Toshiba or Panasonic DVD-ROM was available. Other standard features included a built-in microphone,16-bit stereo speakers, and a 12.1" or 13.3" TFT XVGA screen.
Gateway offered 8- and 12-cell Li-Ion and NiMH batteries for this laptop, which provided 2 to 8 hours of power.
