Function

Cyber cafes provide high-speed Internet access to users. Gamers in particular find cyber cafes useful. Up to half of Blizzard's World of Warcraft players are estimated to be cyber cafe players.

Pricing

Cyber cafe prices range from $3 up to $20 per hour. Pricing depends on the cafe's computer hardware and the Internet speed. Cafes can also charge by the minute or offer a monthly access pass for a set price.

Wi-Fi Cafes

Wi-Fi cafes are a potential threat to cyber cafes as a competitor. At these locaitons Wi-Fi is offered at no charge, however computers are not usually provided. Since Wi-Fi is offered primarily at coffee shops, there is also no need to search for a cyber cafe that provides food and beverages.
