Ionizer Vs. Reverse Osmosis
Ionizers and reverse osmosis machines are both water purifiers that work automatically once installed. Though there are many methods of water purification, ionizers and reverse osmosis machines are both considered to produce high quality water products. Does this Spark an idea?
-
How Reverse Osmosis Works
-
Molecules move from a high concentration particle area to a lower concentration particle area in the process of reverse osmosis. By pushing water through a semi-permeable membrane and leaving the large particle contaminated water behind, lower particle clean water is produced.
How Ionization Works
-
Water ionizers work by using a filter with negatively charged electrodes, which attract positive ions to it. The resulting water, then, is full of negative ions and free from many contaminants.
-
Health Benefits of Reverse Osmosis Water
-
Reverse osmosis water removes many contaminants present in unfiltered water, such as bacteria, glucose, ethanol, heavy metals. radium and other organic contaminants.
Health Benefits of Ionized Water
-
While ionized water does remove some contaminants, the main health benefit of this water is the negatively charged ions, which are believed to help raise body pH (making it more alkaline). It is also believed to improve the taste of food that is cooked in it.
Uses
-
Both water ionizers and reverse osmosis filters can be used in commercial or residential settings and pricing will vary based on usage and quality.
