How to Set a Date & Time in FreeStyle Lite

The FreeStyle Lite is a blood glucose monitoring system for individuals with diabetes, hypoglycemia or other medical conditions. The device measures blood sugar after the user lightly pricks her finger, arm or another area of the body with a lancet device and a drop of the drawn blood is placed on a test strip that has been inserted into the FreeStyle Lite monitor. The FreeStyle Lite also provides an alarm setting as well as the date and time, which only take a few steps to set.

Touch the “M” button, or the button on the left-hand side of the device face and hold for 2 seconds until a display screen appears. Press again until the word “SET” appears on the device face and the hour blinks on the bottom of the display screen.

Press the “C” button, or the button on the right-hand side of the device face, until the correct hour appears. Note that “P” will appear next to the time for “PM” times.

Press the “M” button until the minutes blink on the display. Press the “C” button until the correct minutes appear on the display.

Press the “M” button to move between a 12-hour format and 24-hour time format. Press “M” again to move to the date format. The date will blink on the display face.

Press the “C” button until the correct month appears on the display face. Press the “M” button to move to the day setting and press the “C” button until the correct day shows on the display face.

Press the “M” button to move between a month-day display format and day-month display format. Press the “M” button again until the year blinks. Press the “C” button until the correct year shows on the display.

Press and hold the “M” button to exit the time and date setting mode.
