Gold stock can be traded on stock exchanges like Nasdaq, Amex and NYSE. Some companies, like Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd. (AEM) and Randgold Resources Ltd. (GOLD) trade, at more than $50 per share. The stock prices of companies traded on OTC (Over the Counter) at less than under $5 and include Apolo Gold, Energy Inc. and Campbell Resources Inc.

When you're on a stock exchange website, you'll find the price of gold under market and then you choose commodities. As of November 2009, the price of gold was more than $1,000 per troy oz.
Gold Bullion

Gold bullion or gold bars have their manufacturer's stamp, weight and purity engraved on them. You can get a kilobar that weighs 1,000 grams or 32.15 oz. Of course, you can get smaller sizes.
Gold Coins

You can buy gold coins that are 24 karats (pure gold) or 22 karats (have some alloys added like copper). For example, the Gold Canadian Maple Leaf and the Gold Vienna Philharmonic are 24 karats. Sometimes gold coins are called gold bullion or gold bullion coin.
